Ahead of our upcoming gig together on the 15th of November at the West Malvern Social Club, I sent Chloe Mogg a few questions about her music, her album The Crazy One and the festival she’s starting in her hometown.

Tyler: When did you start playing?
Chloe: I started playing music when I was around 14/15, but started properly songwriting when I was at college around age 17. I quickly started gigging at the age of 18/19 and 10 years later, I still regularly gig. I find that gigging and recording music, and releasing it really helps me connect with people. Songwriting is my biggest passion, though, if I had to choose one thing to only be able to do out of gigging, recording or songwriting, it would be songwriting every single time.
Tell me about your album The Crazy One.
Turning relationship breakups, childhood stories and identity crises into something positive, the past decade of my life accumulated into my debut album “The Crazy One”. Armed with mental health themes, discrimination towards disabilities and heartbreak, the album has one theme throughout and that’s growth. Engineered and mastered with the help of Alex Vine Ruiz (Swan Studios), the release features Ali Clinton (Conflict Choir, Bernie Marsden from Whitesnake, Uli Jon Roth), Jack Bowles (Thomas Atlas), George Cook (Thomas Atlas), Chloe’s Dad Ian Mogg & Mirron Webb (RAIN). It’s been over 2 years since that album came out and I’m excited to say that we’re starting to record album two this winter.
I hear you’re starting a festival in Stourport in 2026…
I am indeed, it’s called StourJam. StourJam is a free, not-for-profit festival, raising funds for three chosen charities and a dedicated StourJam pot, which supports artist fees, equipment, and future creative programming. The festival is built by the community, for the community – and the involvement of these 14 venues marks a major milestone in its development. While the big weekend is still months away, the momentum is already building – and fast. On Sunday, 12th October, StourJam launched its artist applications, inviting musicians of all genres to apply for a chance to perform at the debut event. The response has been phenomenal, with applications pouring in from across the region and beyond. From indie bands and acoustic duos to DJs and solo performers, the diversity and quality of submissions have exceeded all expectations. Musicians still have time to apply, but the window is closing in the coming months. Artists can apply at stourjam.com/apply. Organisers are encouraging artists to get their applications in early to be considered for a lot at what promises to be a landmark event for the local music scene and the first of its kind for Stourport on Severn.
StourJam is proud to raise funds for three incredible charities as part of its 2026 debut:
Dementia UK – Providing specialist support through Admiral Nurses to families affected by dementia across the UK.
The Canal & River Trust – Caring for 2,000 miles of waterways, including those in and around Stourport, helping protect nature, heritage, and wellbeing.
Worcestershire Acute Charity – The Children of Worcestershire & Herefordshire Cancer Fund – Supporting children and families facing cancer treatment locally, funding vital equipment, services, and care.
Together, these charities reflect StourJam’s commitment to community, compassion, and lasting impact – both locally and nationally.
14 venues are on board and will play an equal and vital role in delivering the festival’s vision: a community-powered celebration of live music, creativity, and charitable giving. The venues span pubs and clubs throughout the town, reflecting the collaborative spirit at the heart of StourJam.

Are you looking forward to the gig on the 15th of November?
Absolutely! I’m a huge fan of Tyler/your music and have always loved your songwriting. Plus, the venue is one of my favourites to play and it’s been a few years since I’ve played there – one of my favourite times was when I supported the incredible Rosie Bans.
Have you got any good recommendations (films, books, albums, etc)?
One of my favourite shows, if you haven’t watched it already, is called Inside No 9 – definitely watch that if you’re into programmes like Black Mirror, The Tales of the Unexpected and The Twilight Zone – it’s amazing. It finished last year but all episodes are on the iPlayer.
I also highly recommend checking out my festival www.stourjam.com – 2026 is going to be a huge year for us.
Thanks, Chloe! Tickets for our gig are here.
