A few months back, me and the guys did a show at WMSC with my dear friend Connie Gordon (an amazing young singer-songwriter), and I thought it would be fun if Alex, Eric and Ralph backed her for a few numbers, with me on guitar and backing harmonies.
It was SO much fun, that we have decided to repeat the experiment on the first of August.

It also happens to be (almost) my birthday and the anniversary of my marriage to the inestimable Tara Heath (aka my long-suffering spouse, Live Sound Goddess and much better half).
Yes, we got married on my birthday back in the 90s. Yes, it helps us both remember our anniversary every year, but that’s not why we did it. We had a very limited amount of time before she was going to be deported (see also: America in 2026 and for the last 250 years).
The numbers are kind of large and scary, so we won’t sully this humble blog post with temporal mathematics. If you come to the gig, I’ll fill you in on the terrifying integers in person.
The evening will start with the incredible voice of Connie Gordon. After a couple of solo numbers, we’ll have the full Quintet, with Eric, Alex, Ralph and your humble narrator joining her for a set. After a short break, it’ll be a set from the boys, with some serious bangers thrown in at the end (I don’t want to ruin the surprise by listing them here). We’ll try and end by 10:30 so everyone can get their beauty sleep.
